    Rear Fog Light Switch

I'm trying to get more up to speed on early fog/driving light switches. A good place to start is to gather some input on this switch.

    The part no. is 902.613.623.90

    Questions:

    (1) Is this a switch for a rear fog light for a LWB?

    (2) Would it normally have a black plastic bezel for a LWB? Is a chrome bezel correct for SWB?

    (3) Can it be used as a switch for LWB fog lights?

    (4) Should there be a small bulb in the bottom?

    Thanks,
    John

Aren’t all the 4 post on/off switches functionally the same? What do you do if the part number comes off? Wouldn’t it interchange with any other on/off switch?

That is a hazard knob, would think they would use the same tiny light stalk of the fogs, maybe in a different color for a rear fog, not the same knob as hazards

Is that a simple on/off switch or are there two separate "on" functions depending on how far out the knob is pulled?

Make sure you can't turn the switch a few degrees once pulled out (on).
If you can, you have the dual switch that can run front fogs and (click) turn on/off rear fog separately.
You may also benefit by doing a deeper search of the site, using a method I outlined many years ago here. Lighting switches have all sorts of precedented threads over the years.

As an aside my 69S had an NLA switch with the dual function front/rear fogs functionality, discussed here.

Pouring over the early car PET is always helpful too.

That is great information, about front/rear fogs and switch location, I had never seen that.
I could feel and see there was a hole in metal, behind the basket weave, and often wondered what could/would go there.
