2 stages rear window defroster switch wiring

    hello,

can someone help me with the wiring for my 2 stage rear window defrosting switch ?
here is a picture of the switch
    Attachment 598627

    which color on A, B, C or D ?

missing is the small bulb to light the switch on center, so I have 5 wires to put on ?
I have 3 brown together, and a black with a grey also together.
but I think the grey and the black should be separate, but what are the other wires I need ?

    thanks for any help

Mine is a '73S. If not, I can pull the switch and take a picture.

since you have it all apart...you may want to install the rubber grommets that went into the holes in the dash and sealed the switch...wasn't really much of a seal..but it kept the air from coming into the cabin

Apologies, I’ve been doing some travelling. Will take a pic in the next few days.

The letters are a bit confusing but i think:

    A , marked 3 on switch ? - Jumper to C + single black ,from tunnel harness
B, marked 4 on switch ? - White black (from tunnel harness)
    C, marked 2 on switch ? - See A
D, marked 1 on switch ? - Double black (from main harness)

The spade terminal on the bulb holder gets a brown wire (3 x)

I think it's the right switch. I don't know if the photo will help you much!
