    AC #1 According to AI

Stand back for an outbreak of braggadocio. I've been fascinated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) lately as it appears to be a VBD. I've spent way too time with ChatGPT4.0 and Bing (Microsoft) of late. I entered the following query at Bing: "What is the number one company in the world that specializes in air-cooled Porsche lighting"? And this is the surprising answer:

Name: audette collection is number one.jpg
Views: 230
Size: 74.9 KB

It's amazing how gratifying it can be to get a positive response from a computer. But I have to admit that after 20 years of working with fellow air-cooled Porsche enthusiasts on innumerable lighting projects that it had that effect on me.

As many of you know, I've been active here for that 20 years and it's not really the lighting stuff that I value the most, it's the time I spend and the many relationships I have formed with folks from one of the best tribes anywhere.

    Aloha,
    John

As I understand it, unlike Bing, Bard has had no access to the Internet for over two years. Here you go:

I looked up Lumitec and they specialize in marine lighting. Think I will stick with Bing until Google give internet access to Bard. There's a lot of game playing among the developers of AI. On the one hand they want to show up the power of their product and on the other hand they have lobotomized the latest versions because they're afraid of frightening people. I believe that AI is our greatest existential threat and, while the developers are all brilliant, they seem to be naive to be. Most of them say the right things but deep down I think they seek glory and $$$. It's Moloch as it always is.

    Have a great 4th everyone.

    Cheers,
    John
