the arrow is pointing to the wrong spot---this thingie goes to the two screws on the rear of the frame...and if i remember correctly bolt size changed early in production so if someone offers you one make sure it is the correct one---will have a look what i`v in stock... hmm `...now i`m not even sure if your car should have it at all--will have a look for reference pictures.

You are correct. What was I thinking??

I can not find the plates while the doors have been taken apart and I didn’t get it from the metal guy.

Still I would need one for my preS because on that car they definitely went down.

Other question I posted which you might have missed

Ignore the plating, the yellow one (spare) is the early one, but do I need the other hardware too (might be at the painter but can not find it on my pictures).

Last as a “bonus”. During your restorations did you “spot” these 3 different versions?

I have the plate you posted in the very first picture. They go on the rear of the door as Moito said. They are NLA.

I could need one of the nice rubber flaps....mine is deteriorated and the rubber reconstruction is not as precise as I had hoped..

the middle flap is a repair - schraubnippel..

I can recommend to swap for the reenforced version, since the first version will bend and break...sooner or later..

btw. the wire part is available at porsche classic parts - 901.571.071.20 - also the wire routing.
if yours is not bend, I would strongly recommend to replace it, as any deformation of the wire results in a "hard-to-move" in the wire routing -

honestly: i am hoping Porsche Classic will do the flap..
