    MFI Throttle Linkage - Obstructed by Fuel Line

    Hi all,

    I have a '69 E that's had its numbers matching motor built to S spec (with corresponding "005" MFI pump). The car runs great as far as I can tell (first early 911 for me) but I did notice that the throttle linkage for cylinder 2 is impacting the fuel line below. From what I can gather, it looks like this is at or near the throttle stop so I don't *think* I'm missing any additional throttle travel, but I can't be sure. I also really don't want to begin messing with the linkages.

    Any thoughts? Can this be dialed out by adjusting the throttle cable at the pedal and/or elsewhere on the car?

    Your injector lines have been jacked with IMO. I started the tear down of my 70S lump recently. Here’s a shot before I tore down the injection.

    Or is the connection lever on in reverse ?

    You guys are clueless , the fuel lines are correct for a '69 , and yes the linkage is reversed or wrong position .

    The picture is of the throttle depressed to 100% to illustrate the contact between the linkage and fuel line. Is the linkage actually backwards?

    Interesting.

    Is there a technical reason for the seemingly stupid routing in 69 or did they just have to deal with overly long lines?
