    Removing the Muffler on a 1965 911

I would like to remove the Dansk muffler on my 1965 911 in order to have it recoated. It doesn’t look like there is a lot of room in order to remove/replace the muffler without hitting the painted rear panel. Is there a way to remove/replace the muffler without having to dismantle the rear panel? Thanks for any helpful suggestions.

Best to remove the rear panel by first removing the rear bumper guards, L & R. 3 allens a side I recall.

Then 2 muffler straps holding it in place by 2 larger allens. Then the muffler bolts; 2 on a side. Be sure to support the muffler after taking the straps off.

Thanks for your advice. That is what I have decided to do.
