    Popping trunk lid

Perhaps it's the stiff 28 year-old suspension on my '73 S coupe, coupled with the ridiculously poor streets of L.A., but recently my beloved S has developed the annoying habit of popping open its trunk lid. This seems to occur during short jaunts down bumpy side streets.
Does anyone know of an adjustment or other cure? Thanks.

Mostly a slight readjusting and some cleaning with new grease will do the trick. Don´t grease over all look how the grease was applied before. Sometimes the lower latch spring is tired

Be carefull with adjusting as this can lead to the "shut down woun´t open" syndrome.
