I was wondering if anyone has a source on European license plates.
What I want to do is have one made with my car's legal, CA license number for the front of my car ... I've seen these before, but I don't know where to get 'em.

Keep in mind that modifying a state issued plate is considered an infraction, replacing it may be considered not having one at all. But if they are lax in inforcement in your state, not to worry. Seems to me, the constabulary enjoy enforcing the trivial laws more than anything. "I'm citing you for a tail lamp which is out". "Hey the car is 30 years old, I count myself lucky if I have brakes!" Result ->No smile.

Usually, if the numbers match up, they're pretty lax on a vintage car. Remember, I only intend to replace the front plate and not the rear as that is the one which contains the reg. tags and legal mumbo jumbo.

May the 'plate gods' be with you.
I believe there may be an advertiser in European Car which makes custom Euro-look plates. Believe I recycled the last one. If I see the vert I'll let you know.
Wana see a pic when done.

You might try this company. I've never bought anything from them, but they have been recommended by others. They have a large selection and seem to pay attention to detail. Good luck. And if you do buy from them, I'd be interested in your feedback.

Great site ...
But for $40 I better get exactly what I'm dreaming of.

Geez, another thing to worry about!
My 'new' steel S spoiler has no holes for a front plate. God I hate the thought of drilling, but I dread the fix it ticket more. Anyone have a detailed picture of how the front plate should mount?
