face level vent through the clock hole

Does anyone know who does a neat looking vent and the ducting to run some air to your face throught the hole left by the clock?

    Thanks

Call Dave @ Road and Race. He's got a cool vent setup that blows a huricane in your face ... it's also got a block-off plate.

EDIT: He's also on this board as MSROADRACE

What a great idea. I just called dave however and he says he only make a plug, not a vent. He says Jerry Woods at Smart Racing makes a vent. Guess I'll try him next.

Fresh air system for '69 to '89 911's.
Replaces the factory heater/ventilation system – mounts directly to the factory mounts at the cowl, clears the wiper motor and blows generous amount and air to the driver via an adjustable 3" nozzle at clock hole. Drastically reduces driver fatigue. Also includes a 1" drain at the bottom of the manifold for wet weather running. System is non-destructive to install

That seems to simply be a diverter and a hose -- not the pretty kind of round vent that would match the rest of a restored interior.

Are there sources early (67-68) cars?

    Jack,

Yeah, I agree. Didn't order it. I could swear I saw a picture on this board of someone with a nice looking vented piece in the clock hole. I think that the rest of the Smart setup seems fine and looks simple (reversible) to install, but looks more appropriate in a race car. Has anyone found something else that works? Summer's coming fast.

You all might be thinking of the modification the guys from Grass Roots did. They actually installed one of the older Mercedes round vents from a late 70's - early 80's sedan. About the right size for the clock hole and ran ducting to support it utilizing the same contollers. Looked like a nice addition if your clock stinks.
