Thread: 911E Cars for Sale

  1. #461
The Albert blue car's asking is $195k. I too was looking forward to some comments, as I'm restoring a 69 E coupe. It seemed strange to me to spend all that time and money, and then have an aftermarket muffler on it. In any rate it showed up on Pelican today with the Asking price. Perhaps the seller didn't like commentary.

It is true that some folks tend to get a bit high and mighty here with their pronouncements. The car may have a few departures from as delivered though it looks fantastic. I called the owner early in the year when I was in the market and gave it some consideration. While I am not overly fond of light interiors it looks great with the Albert Blue. It was about $40k more than I was willing to spend on an E. That being said someone who wants a beautifully restored car and wants those desirable colors may be willing to go for it. Much less expensive than a comparable 911S and arguably nicer drive-ability. I am very happy with the one I bought.

Hunting Ridge Motors has shown a pattern of listing a car with way-over-the-top pricing and from a few examples I have heard about 3rd hand ends up selling the cars much lower than the list price.

The above 69E was for sale on this site back in Dec 2013. Obviously a total restoration candidate.

Non matching engine in it at the moment, according to the kardex posted in this old thread.

    FS: @Bonhams - 1969 Porsche 911E Coupe

What country/province is that license plate? The (Ron) Burgundy paint looks like it was sprayed on pretty thick.

    Auction Description:

    - Handsome original color combination
    - Recent arrival in the US market
    - First year of the MFI 911

This 1969 911E Coupe left Karmann's Osnarbrück production facility in the summer of 1969 sporting burgundy paint over a black interior, the same combination it possesses today. Fitted with fog lights, alloy Fuchs wheels, and its original golden badging, this example of Porsche's most renowned sportscar is very well presented throughout.

With its handsome color combination and excellent details, this well sorted coupe is equally suited to be passionately driven and deliver Porsche's inimitable driving dynamics to the driver as it is to be shown at marque and club events within the active Porsche Club.
