WTB: Forged Early Rocker Arm Singles ( 1965-67 )

The early forged rockers are the ones without the bearing insert right? I have 6 of those I think, email me if you are still looking.

Has anyone seen the new aftermarket rockers? I was up at Supertec and they had some brand new rockers made by a local guy who also made bearings for 356/912 engines with good results. The new casting is done a bit stronger and more robust. I guess all the guys with big motors are breaking rockers?

1969 cast rockers had no bushing, not a good idea.

The forged rockers have bushings, you have the 68-69 ones without the bushings. They work OK, but I wouldn't put them back in a motor I was rebuilding.

Still looking for (6) -65-67 forged rockers.

Please excuse my ignorance, weren't these superceded in favour of cast
rockers so that the rocker would break rather than bending your valves
and necessitating removal of the head to repair.

Are you looking to shave a few grams?

I think they may have been changed prior to 67 or perhaps during the 67
MY. My 67S has cast rockers, one obviously replaced since it was bushed
while the others were not.

To be clear: the forged rockers DID have bushings.

I want them for a full race engine. Yes the factory used cast rockers in street cars so they break before the valves get bent. Did they use these in racing? No, because they break too much. Have a look in your 67 and let me know if you have some.

I am only needing six (6) but I would take a full set if you twist my arm
