    Idiots Guide to Fuchs

Okay searching returns too many for sale and refinishing posts. So I'm hoping someone here can give me a quick blow by blow to the difference between the 64-73 Fuchs wheels. Specifically I am seeing four variations. One has a square lip and is shallow. One is rounded lip and deep. Then there are wide outer rims and then narrow outer rims. Can anyone explain what to look for between all of these?

There was a list started here a while ago. I saw it recently when I was searching for something else. It probably needs some cleaning up to be accurate.

Thanks for the links. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for over there but I think I got the idea. What I wanted to know is that there are essentially two types of Fuchs that I am seeing on the early cars. One looks like a two or three piece wheel and the other looks like a solid one piece. I have a couple sets of the multiple piece ones and I'm after the single piece wheels. It's amazing how different all of them can look completely black or painted.

    Thanks for the info!

    I forgot to mention.

In one of the posts on Pelican someone listed the part numbers for all of the Fuchs variations. If someone was to pair those up with a photo, that would be FAQ gold.

Here's a start: one of my deep six, part # 901.361.012.06.
    "multi-piece"? They're all one-piece forged.

The most accurate list so far is from HughH.
Give a part number and I'll look for a photo.
Lets see a photo of your wheels.
If you have 3 piece Fuchs they are probably using BBS outers or HRE.
Porsche didn't use 3 piece until much later. The twin turbo speedlines I think were the first.
