    A good point. Believe it or not, there was actually a plan in place to get the winner to Parade in the event they were not already registered. That cost was budgeted into the raffle. As it turned out, it wasn't needed. The winner was already registered, which made pulling off the surprise a bit easier. The guy who won was told that he had won the 2nd place prize, then it was revealed to him on stage that he actually won the car.

    Also, does anyone know the final all-in cost of this factory restoration? (I'd guess about $200k).

    I know the car was on display at the Porsche museum for a few months last year.
    As far as I know, it is back in Quincy California with the winner on the car.
