    1969 Engine Wiring Help

    Guys,

I am looking for some wiring guidance for the last few connections on a friend’s 1969 E. The wiring diagram I was given has proven to not be the most accurate hence this post. Please let me know if you can help with the connections or have a proper wiring diagram for this year 911.

-Black w/Purple (under fuel filter; suspect part of CDI/Tach operation)
    -Blue (female spade)
    -Gray (female spade)
-Green (male spade from alternator harness)
-Green w/White (Coil wire harness; coil has red w/white wire on it now)
-Green (female spade; coiled wire located behind fuel filter; suspect license plate light harness connection)

    Thanks,

    Andrew

    Andrew I hope this helps;

You are correct black with purple is from your Tach to switching gear connector C

The blue one should go to the regulator to the same terminal as the solid red which runs from your generator.

Grey goes to your rear license plate lights.

Soild green, I have no idea, the only solid green wire on mine is from the fuel tank sender to the gauge.

Green with white should run from your oil lever sender? on mine anyway.

I think your going to have to do some investigating, as I think you might have a transitional wiring harness or maybe U.S. Where mine is ROW.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I have found the factory manual wiring diagrams adequate. I'm not in front of mine, but I believe you want SL33 for 69.

See this link, it's scanned in halves:

    All sorted, Thank you!

Green curled wire was the oil temp wire that got caught further back in the harness. All others were as noted above.
