    WTB: Solex Air Cleaner snout decal 1964-65

    hi

    I`m seaching for orginal/ repro sticker for my solex pi 40 airfilter house
    Does anyone have one, or know where to find one?

    I just placed an order with Aase Sales who has them on there web site. I assume the web site is up to date and they are in stock. I know there is a change in ownership.

    If it comes ill let you know how it compares to my NOS one.

    Where exactly does this go on the airbox?

    and is the sticker/decal above the correct one?

    Air box decal

    Here is an original afaik! The placement I believe is correct, though it seems to be placed a little too low when looking at it from the rear of the engine....probably a good idea to place it as it is mounted in the car. .Cliff

    Placement of Decal

    I agree with Cliff on placement. Below are some shots of the air cleaner from motor 900668...
    There are good reference points for placement, such as the seam in the elbow of the snout and the right end of the decal being next seam of the smaller snout.
    This should result in the decal not being "centered" as shown in these photos.
    repro looks good to my eye also. Probably one of those things that nobody would notice as long as its close.
