    Early 911s Hack

    All,

As some of you may have noticed, we were hacked earlier today.

We upgraded the site to 4.1.7 of vBulletin, however we had to restore the forums from yesterday nights backups.

We are not sure yet if this has filled all the holes, nor were we ready for the 4.1.7 upgrade... please be paitent while we work through this.

Oh,this sucks. We lost the entire thread Chuck started after Lisa passed away. Is that gone for good?

Yes, thanks Jeremy for getting the board running again.

Best of luck recovering from this hacker and keeping them out of the 911s forum in the future.

I wonder how one might launch a "denial of service" attack on this clown?

I would not provoke this person.

I am in the info security business and I would let this be. Bulletin boards are notoriously 'open' despite keeping up with the latest patches.

I can tell you that, early911s has reached enough traffic, that we are under constant daily attack... mostly from Europe and China. Everyone helping to manage the site is doing it part-time... This won't be the last crack, you can be sure of that
