Hello again.... sorry for so many questions but trying to research the cars components,

    1) the first two Pictures are of two round threaded housings found on each side of the parcel shelf (about a inch in diameter)
    WHATS ARE THEY FOR?

    2) the third and fourth pictures are of a hole found underneath my dashboard between the clock and the speedo unit (about 2 cms diameter)
    WHAT IS THIS FOR?

    Thanks,

    lee

Regarding #1: Anchor points built into rear shelf are normal
Regarding #2: Hole on left (above ignition) is normal place for push/pull knob for rear wiper. On right could be other accessories.

Hi Lee. My 69 does not have holes on the rear shelve panel. It might have been added for seat belts? Or a child/infant seat?

As far as the hole on the dash I'll check my car. I don't think I have one there.

My Karmann has the package shelf mounts. It may be a Ruetter/Karmann thing.

My Karmann '69T has the package shelf mounts, generally thought to be harness mounts.
I do not have a rear wiper, so can't comment on extra holes...could be owner molestation for accessories of some sort.
Fog light cars had the switch, which had an illuminated knob, mounted right on the dash panel with the lighter, etc.
If not fog light car, the switch hole was plugged with little shiney plastic button-like plug from the factory. The harness for fogs was on every car as part of the main harness, just no switch or lights.

Through the grill. Meaning the lights were mounted through the horn grills.

If you post a pic of your kardex or list the codes on it, I will help you with what all the numbers mean.
