    9800 mile early '65 911

O.K. I hope I'm not spoiling this but my good friend Thomas stopped by the shop and showed me pics of an early 65 911 he found in Chicago with only 9800 miles. I am first watching both my sons soccer games tomorrow and then driving as fast as the tourists will get out of my way to Thomas' shop to check the car out. Oh by the way it's a sunroof model.
Thomas I hope you can sleep tonight!

I saw that too, but the ad had been deleted already. Seriously? 9800 miles? And in my back yard? Crap... I will be very interested to see this one ( or not...).

I've seen pics. Trust me, it did not sell for anywhere near asking price. turned into a bit of an auction but still a brilliant find. Thomas did well. you guys up there were definitely snoozing.

BTW Scott. Probabably not quite what you're envisioning given the supossed 10k miles but you're still going to be thoroughly kicking yourself.
The great news is that he intends to keep it.

It has Solex's with a red air cleaner housing. Looks to be original but personally, I've never seen this. Candidly I haven't studied a ton of '65's.
