Rare numbers matching 1968 Porsche 911S Coupe. A true California barn find hidden away for many years. A rare Euro only model and 1 of only 227 produced. A California car, since early 1970's. Original Burgundy Red color. Odometer showing 80,170 kilometers. Original 2.0 liter 911S engine number . Very rare original Sportomatic transmission. The value of the short wheelbase 911S is rising rapidly. So this is a project that is worthy of a full restoration.

I believe there were 1267 ROW 911S Coupes produced for 1968 MY. Many of them rusted away in cold rainy places in the world like Germany. And like this one, see below. Thanks.

Wow, missing a few things. I have never seen a white elephant hide interior. hum... burgundy and white/beige interior...sweet...but a monster of a project. not for the faint of heart.

Wasn't there a guy in Vilnius a few years ago claiming to be able to do a first class sheet metal restoration on cars as bad as this? I never saw any pricing (and of course it would vary greatly), but he claimed it was worth shipping to/from anywhere for the saving...

Without a cheap labor source or excellent donor chunks, I can't imagine this chassis/body being restored for less than $50-60K.
