Looks like it was built 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the 1969 model run. I do not have a CoA, but if someone does, on a similarly numbered car, that would be helpful. If you have a CoA on a '69S coupe, reference the engine #6391900

Reason for asking: I'm trying to pin down the acceptable date range for 2 missing Fuchs...

#240 is the last 69 S built in Des 68, last 69 S has #614. I guess #550 must be June/July 69(these are Targa numbers). The Fuchs for the car was probably manufactured a few months prior.

Yes, that seems about right to me, too. One fuchs that came with the car was stamped 4/69, and I was offered one stamped 7/69, which seems to me to be at the end of the acceptable range... it's a wobbler.

I second that, with maybe a May or June build for car. My 2/69 build has 1/69 Fuchs

Now that I had a chance to look at my database:
#537 born on date was 6/20/69. Note the engine # is 3 off from yours while VIN is 13 earlier. This is pretty typical pattern.
