Posted for posterity on the S Registry. Not too many of these left (ungalvanized 69 S Targas) out of 614 made:

Two-owner So Cal '69 S Targa. Chassis shows no drama. One repaint. Time for another, but car can be a 'nice driver' as is. Mechanically very good. Top needs re-covering. It was recently 'reawakened' from storage and has had the fuel system gone through. Original black leather seats. Only one original wheel remains. Has random wheels now. Your guess is as good as mine as to what a Tangerine S Targa will bring at Monterey next Summer, but I'm pretty sure buying one now is better than money in the bank. Only 700 or so S Targas were made. This is #550, with matching engine. Shows 46K miles. Restore or enjoy. I am brokering this car for the owner, who is out of the country. Car is in storage in Southern California and available to see 6 days a week by appointment.

    Priced at $79,500 OBO

I had dropped the price to $76,500 around the end of the year, after getting the date-matched Fuchs. Since then, I have reinstalled the correct 3-bar grille and today was able to get the missing fog light (both correct fog lights need installing, stlll).

The market has risen, and this is a car that could be driven as is or restored. Mechanically, it needs nothing. Electrical and braking system excellent as well. Just cosmetics needed.
