Hart deep Fuchs on a 71 correct?

Iam confused if a hart deep 6x15 early (901 361 012 06) its correct or was available on 1971?or if it was the late Fuch No hart (911 361 020 10) ? Someone told me that in 71 models booth were available and I really will like to be sure.
Also if in the early type it's safe to run the tires with out tubes?
    Thanks,

'71's are generally no heart - hard to find. I'm sure there are exceptions, but i don't remember ever seeing a mixed set (except for spare)

    I had a mixed set + spare on a very early '71.... 3 with, 2 without.

To answer the second question; yes, it's safe to run deep sixes without tubes using modern radial tires; just make sure you get the correct (larger) valve stem so they don't leak air. I'm sure someone here (Harvey) can give you the exact sizing for the correct stems.

    Thanks,
The 71s used the deep 6 (some early cars were mixed with "heart" wheels)) until about 3/71. (workshop manual as I remember)
    Then the 71s used the late (911 361 020 00- 10 is 74 MY>) "flat" 6.
I have seen the late wheel dated 1/71. Presumably getting ready for the changeover.
The valve stem issue has been addressed before. The problem occured when the stem mfgs reduced the thickness of the 415 stem above the groove not leaving enough to create a tight fit in the non snap groove wheel. There are still some that will kinda work with some practice. Usually at non tire shops like NAPA or at the bottom of a drawer in an old tire shop.
We have for quite a while, put in the groove so a snap in valve stem works as designed. There are some photos in a thread....
    Hope this helps.

    Deep Six Valve Stem

Napa part number has changed a bit recently from other threads posted in the past on this subject.

I just purchased some a few days ago.

    NTH 90415
415 is the consistent number throughout part number changes.

These come in a four pack. There are a few threads in the archives on which ones are the right ones.
