This is the Tribute to #300 055 built out on car #300 149 as seen at Rennsport Reunion IV and published in "Classic Porsche" #11, "Total 911" #92 both from England, the spectacular Dutch magazine "RS Porsche" #3-2012 from the Netherlands and Nord Stern Magazine out of Minnesota.

Seeing the real car after all these years is a reason to celebrate.

The Museum car currently is that beautiful 302 503 Grey car with the red interior, back in the 1980's when it was acquired it was a leading example of an early car. A very good representative of the first series of cars.

In the intervening 25+ years, locating the 1964 cars has expanded. The whereabouts of the Monte car 055 up until this past few months had been unknown. During this last quarter of a century more cars and their special build items have been documented.

Car details, build features and where the cars are today offers a much larger group from which the Factory could select - if they were to replace their representative museum 911.

That asking price for the Monte Car One point Five million euro ($ one million, nine fifty eight thousand) would stop most curators in their tracks to justify how to expand the budget to fit it in.... Lets hope they will.

The 50th anniversary is coming up fast.
