Cooper Classics is pleased to present this 1969 911S LWB Soft Window Targa, a rare and seldom seen car that only 13 of were built in 1969. This particular car received a ground up, comprehensive restoration by the owner of a renowned German Porsche facility for himself, that has been restoring Porsches for the last 20 years. The restoration was done about 5 years ago, and the car hasnt driven over 100 miles since the restoration. The Kardex confirms that this rare Porsche is presented in its original colors of Polo Red over Black Leather Interior. Additionally, the Kardex confirms that this is an extremely rare Factory Soft Window. Every aspect of this fantastic car was addressed during the restoration, with new beautiful lacquer paint (as orig, interior, and the Targa and Soft Window tops. Seeking to add a fantastic touch of originality and patina, the excellent all original seats were retained by the Owner in the car exactly as they left the Porsche factory, preserving vintage German materials you can no longer get. Other than the seats, every aspect of the car is as new, and the underside and trunk of the car look as good as the top. The Soft Window and Targa top are as new and function flawlessly. The 1969 911S Soft Window was the lightest 911 Model built, and also had the most powerful engine of the 2.0 Liter Flat 6 engine range. This 911Ss matching number engine was fully rebuilt at an expense of $46,000, also done approximately less than 100 miles ago. This particular 911S Soft Window Targa was a special order, as the last official year of the Soft Window Targa was 1968. Included with this 911S is a binder which includes a full log of photos of the restoration from start to finish as it was performed in Germany . . .'
