You might want to save and restore what you have. Those don't come up for sale often. That being said, someone on this board may surprise you! Good luck...

in it's current condition, can my bumper be fixed which would take: #1) straightening bar #2) take small dents out of bar #3) remove pitting #4) re chrome bar and bumpers?? Any recommendations on a shop that could perform this service correctly?

Anything is possible, it is only a matter of how much $$ you want to spend. You may be better off pinging Frank and asking him for a price on his NOS piece.

dog, if it were me and I wanted to save it, I would cut the tube after the elbos on each end and weld a replacement piece in the polish down the welds and rechrome it. I bought a reproduction that was spot on and it was a lot cheaper than the new originals. I did a write up on it a few years ago: the purchase:

You also have the actual bumperettes with the short rubber guards...

This is important, because I had to make a jig to make the new holes and make them parallel and centered. Not easy to do on standard bumperettes. In other words, don't throw them out, try to save them.

If you are looking for a replacement bar, you can contact Bob Chase, who makes these for 356 and early 911. No affiliation, but I have purchased from him in the past and he produces a very nice product.
