Finish on a 73 Trans Coupling Cover

Ordered a replace for my damaged trans coupling cover behind the seats and the part came unfinished.

Anyone know the correct finish? Is it flat black/ semi-gloss black/ does it have a texture or is it smooth?

If anyone has a picture that would be great as well.

    Thanks for the help,

    Haasman

I believe it has a crinkle finish. Not close to the car for a pic. Someone will confirm

I believe 73 was also the first year the cover was solid and not slatted since a gas heater was no longer offered and the return air feature was not needed. Is that consistent with your cover Chuck?

    No perfs on mine......

On second thought, mine could have come to me satin black and I might have changed it to flat with a fine texture to hind any blems...

Ah, didn't realize they went to solid in 73. Could have changed finishes as well...

Mine is solid and it was satin black - I think. About 15 years ago I had it powder coated in gloss black.
