I think this car has a rather strange VIN font, looks to be of a 1972/1973 911, the 1969 has a more rounded type of font, at least in my own '69. What do the experts think of this? Also the type plate shows 911S-B in stead of 911S, is that normal?

I can't tell if the car is a fake or not. But the VIN and engine number are accurate 1969 911S 'B' series serial numbers. The green fan shroud is what is found on a 1972/1973 model year 2.4L 911E. The tachometer is from a 911T (~6400 RPM redline).

Do you mean you agree the VIN numbers are fake? I am only asking what the experts think, the font looks different than many '69 vins I have seen, that's why I am asking. See also:

That VIN stamp does not look remotely close to the stamp on my 69S

Here's the VIN from my '69 911S...only 15 cars after the one in question...probably built the same day!

The fonts aren't remotely the same...just look at the shape of the zeroes:

That may be one of the worst restamps I've seen.

Keep in mind that a VIN swap is most likely a federal crime for a road car. Engine stamps are no problem though. At least with the feds.
