    2013 LeMans results - 991 finishes 1st & 2nd in Class

Not sure if someone else posted this, but couldn't find anything. I wasn't able to watch, but after reading about the unfortunate accident, I thought to check the results. Impressive outing for the 991s.

And Porsche also finished first in the GTE-AM class as well.

I watched on and off the entire race as I try to do every year. The most impressive display of driver skill and resolve was Patrick Long in the Dempsey car (GTE-AM). Just watching on the ticker his lap times compared to others and the dwindling gap was fascinating.

Throughout the race he would claw back positions, gaining on the field and then hand the car over to his teammates.

He was the fastest car on track across ALL categories after the yellow, for the last run to the checkered flag. They finished just off the podium. He never gave up!

Good showing for Porsche, despite the sad circumstances.

Thanks for the update Bryce. Sounds like a great race, and I was surprised to hear how well the Dempsey team did. I just txt my wife to confirm she wouldn't delete it off the DVR before I got to see it.

This year Porsche celebrated the 99th and 100th LeMans Victory!

PS- I may post the 100(s) victories if someone interested.
