1970 Fog Light electrical trouble shooting

    Greetings,

I am trying to get my fog light circuit working after a long restoration.
The car previously did not have working fog lights so I cannot confirm the circuit worked previously.

The switch does not light up with a tested bulb. I don't believe that could be caused by a relay but I would like to confirm the relay is wired correctly
I am unsure which relay is for the foglights. Would someone be able to describe its location in the car?

I'll have to continue to did deeper if this does not solve the problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    Bob,

It should be the second one up on the relay board/holder next to your fuse panel in the LH front near the battery box.

Bottom one is for your horns, and the next one up is for fog/auxiliary lights.

    Thanks Guys,

Now that I know which relay is for the fog lights I should be able to get things working.

My other challenge is to understand why my switch has terminals labeled as 1,2,3.. Rather then like the wiring diagram. N, NR, 58.
My car is a European car, but I doubt that would make a difference given that the diagram seem generic for NA and Europe.

    Cheers,

    Bob

    Thanks again all.

I had a wire loose at the fuse box and a dead relay. Without this help I would have spent alot more time getting this sorted.
Some new bulbs tomorrow and I should have fog lights for the first time since owning the car. 12years I think now.
