    Introduction and Carpet Question

    Hello All:
I have recently joined the forum and am also new to Porsche cars. I appreciate what I have already learned from searching threads on various topics. I have recently purchased a 1969 911E project having parted with my Lotus Elan. My intention is to rebuild the car as close to original as possible and create the nicest driver I can.

I was wondering if someone can confirm if this is the correct carpet for a '69 E, and whether anyone has any experience with this supplier:

    Darren,

Nice looking ride, and I agree with the above NO that carpet is wrong in so many ways.

Do a quick search on carpet, there are a number of suppliers of correct looking carpet, with Autobahn being the most correct, if not perfect match for the carpet that was originally in your car.

I went with http://www.autosintl.net/ in a group buy a couple of years ago for RHD cars, and was very happy.

If not, you have someone else with a car in a very similar state of assembly as yours

The really nice carpet Porsche used in that era was called Hargaan (or similar). It was a pure wool in a deep grey colour and sometimes called "pepper and salt"

Welcome and I agree, great colour! Click my signature link and I've done a pretty thorough resto on a very similar car and used the Hargaan carpet.

Thanks guys. The car in the link above is now mine. That post was from the previous owner. Super guy and unimaginably helpful and accommodating. I will follow up on the tips above
