Annoying rattle in the driver side door Only with the windows up

The car has recently been reassembled after a paint job, It's been so hot I have had the windows down all of the time. Yesterday I had the window up and was cruising on the highway and had a fairly constant rattle in the door. With the windows down the sound disappears totally. Any ideas? I suspect I'm going to need to take the door panel off again but just wanted an indication of where I might need to look. I suppose it's going to be something with the window frame itself.

(Always a good idea to state year and model)

Did you check the bottom or your door (early model) for a loose bolt holding the window channel?

Sometimes, its just the driver side's door pocket (Hinges, belt and elastic). You only hear it when windows up.
Make a test drive with the door pocket left OPEN, windows up and maybe the sound disappears. Then you know.

    Happened to me.

My guess would be it's not sitting on the runner completely, had the same thing.

Start here as its the easiest to diagnose. Check the tie offs of the elastic ends of the pocket support cord. They can rub against the moisture barrier and make an annoying noise.
If it is a deeper mechanical rattle I bet it is the tracks

    Any strange odors?
I know sometimes I'll hear a noise from the seat but it's usually accompanied by a smell.
