    Porsche by Design - Raleigh Museum of Art - 12, Oct 2013 thru Jan 2014

    Porsche by Design, Seducing Speed - Raleigh Museum of Art, Opens this Saturday, Oct 12.

    A few E911SR members will be showing their cars along with many others at the opening event starting Saturday before 1pm.

    Featuring 22 automobiles, Porsche by Design presents cars owned by Ralph Lauren, Steve McQueen, and Janis Joplin, as well as the one-of-a-kind Panamericana concept car on loan from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Here are a few others...

    I am flying up to Raleigh tomorrow to see some friends and attend the event. There is a museum member preview tomorrow afternoon (Friday) and then we plan to come over on Saturday.

    Calling it a copy is a little harsh. It was built from a Porsche built VW chassis using many of the original parts from the original (one of three) car the US GI's destroyed. Not an original, but a careful re-creation using as much of an original as they could. Maybe like the guys who build a 550 around an existing serial number. Not like all the fake Speedsters out there.

    Sorry, but this is totaly wrong! It is a copy, there are no Parts, Chassis etc. !
    Only One k64 is existing, Point! And this One is Green...
    911 S 1967 and ...

    Some great things in Hamburg, including my aunt and uncle, and an interesting airport.

    But starting this weekend, the Berlin Rome car from the Hamburg Prototyp Automuseum will be stateside in Raleigh, NC!
