    My late production '68 has the earlier version, so perhaps the transition is murkier still...

    As it should.

    Any murkiness is only around when the wash wipe words started. This was sometime in calendar 71 or late MY72 I believe.

    All cars before this had the washer icon originally.

    Originally, your car definitely came with the decals I posted in #4 above in the thread.

    Another thread on same subject. Also included is yet another set of stickers, claiming off a '73. So maybe the wipe wash wording was even later than 73

    The 1972 911E Owners manual for Italy that goes with my car just arrived from the seller just arrived by fedex. here is a close up of the column labels. Note Symbols.
