    Steering Lock

I have a US delivered '70T. Am I correct in assuming that the steering lock with ignition and starter came with the buzzer contact? Was it the Euro cars that came with the same steering lock but without the buzzer contact? Can I install a Euro type steering lock (without the buzzer contact) in my US car? I don't really care about the buzzer. I just want to make sure that the rest of the mechanism is the same. Can I just plug and play?

Surely if there are valve experts out there, there must be a steering lock expert?

I'm no expert, but the Euro version steering lock is just the same casting as the US version. The US version is just drilled for the buzzer. They are interchangable.

Didn't the buzzer start in 72 or so with all the safety nanny stuff like fasten seat belt lights?

Pretty sure is was earlier than 72. I think it actually started in 69 with US delivered 911s. My 71T is equipped with a buzzer.

    Regards
