I do. I have a Kardex that I am 99% sure lists the incorrect motor and transmission numbers. I'm over a year into my investigation and what I've found so far is pretty compelling. More to come soon...

    It's actually for a '69 car.

I think my Kardex also has an error. The transmission in my car is number 223497 902/1 and the Kardex lists the transmission as 223447 901/0.

Seems too close to be a coincidence. Comments welcome.

PS: manufacturing date is October 1965.

Similar to my issue. I'll be posting what I've found as soon as I have the time.

If one suspects there may be an issue, what can one do about it to get it corrected...if anything?

Highly unlikely unless Porsche decides to get really serious about this. They (actually) have are bigger fish to fry.

Sounds like a transcribe error 4 to a 9. I think the red herring is the incorrect number just happens to be so close what is in the car.

I had a 69 Kardex that actually had all the data from a different chassis #. It just so happened to be all the correct data including engine # for another car that was documented on this board. My understanding is that the Kardex system changed in 69 and is less reliable.

I am hoping that I can get someone to decipher the handwriting on my kardex. I don't believe I have mistakes, but have mysteries and maybe omissions that I'd love to get answered. I've reached out to a few here who speak German.

Is there a possibility that a Kardex would reference another "replacement" kardex or factory document?
