    Year: 1972
    VIN Number: 9112210174
    Winning bid: US $10,299.00
    Date sold: Jan-30-07
Notes: "History: Authentic 1972 Porsche 911E Targa. VIN#9112210174. This is a genuine "E" car. Dr. Porsche only made less than 1000 of these units and there are not many of these left. This car is currently registered in CA and has a clean title. This car looks great and drives great. You will get a ton of looks driving this car. This car has had the same owner since 1983, until it was passed off to me.

Exterior: Check out the pictures. This car looks sharp! It boasts a quality paint job, straight body, new reupholstered targa top, RS rear fender flares, 911S front spoiler and vanity plates. Check out the pictures for someone informed me that the right front fender may be from an earlier SWB 911 car. I have also noticed there appears to be a rust spot in the floor (see pic)

Interior: Carpets, headliner and targa top in excellent condition as are the rear seats. There is a crack in the dash. The car has a detachable face stereo that works great. The front seats are from a later year 911.

Engine: Recent rebuild with documents totaling over 10k. I can fax it to you if you like. Modified Weber carbs. This engine runs great and has a lot of power. When the engine was rebuilt they did not use the stock engine. The second gear synchro sometimes grinds but this is because of sport clutch kit and you have to press clutch in all the way.

Wheels: Staggered Fuchs. Tires in good shape.

Overall: This is a unique example of the early 911 and is a blast to own and drive. This car is ready to be driven and enjoyed."
