on your center lube question, here is how you recognize this. The red circle shows a oil line into the chain housing. On the other end is the hollow camshaft thru which the oil flows and is pushed out directly in the bearings (center lubrification). Problem here is that the ring between the inner side of the chain house and the turning camshaft wears out, the pressure in the cam drops as you do not notice because you do not see the leak on the outside. Later (4Q65?) this was changed and the oil was sprayed over the cams.
The center cam lube types you can easily recognize by this oil tube on the outside (left also).
