    BaT Description:

This 1970 Porsche 911T Targa is a lightly modified example that was purchased by the seller from the second owner in 1996. It is powered by a later 2.7L fuel-injected flat-six which was rebuilt by John Truman Enterprises in 1999 and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car is finished in a non-original platinum black and has been fitted with a ducktail spoiler, four-tip exhaust, Marchal fog lights, an S-style front spoiler, and more. This 911 is now being offered with a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name. This 911T reportedly left the factory in orange and the previous owner commissioned a full repaint in platinum black at some point in the 1990s. The finish is said to be in good overall condition, with some isolated bubbling around the bottom of the doors and some small chips. An aftermarket ducktail spoiler and side mirrors have been fitted, and the rocker deco strips remain installed on the body. Included with the sale is the original engine lid, which has been refinished to match and is pictured in the gallery below. Marchal fog lights have been mounted under the front bumper, which is an aftermarket S-style item. 14” Fuchs are wrapped in 185/70 tires, and the seller has kept the car in a dry, heated garage when not in use for the last 21 years.

Trimmed in black vinyl with basket weave inserts, the seats present well and the interior retains matching door panels and accents. A three-spoke wheel with an E. Nardi etching has been added by the seller, and a JVC head unit is installed in the dash. 9,420 miles are shown on the odometer, which the seller believes has rolled over once.

In 1996, the previous owner installed a 2.7-liter flat-six and 915 5-speed manual gearbox from a 1974 911S. The CIS fuel-injection system was retained, and the engine was reportedly rebuilt at John Truman Enterprises in 1999. 32k miles have been covered since the rebuild. The original exhaust was replaced with a four-tip aftermarket unit, and maintenance performed within the past year included an oil change and the installation of a replacement coil, ignition module, airbox, pop-off valve, and oil tank.
