    Price check: 1967 911 s

I am researching values for purposes of selling my 1967 911S. Looking for advice and guidance from those on this site who are much more knowledgeable on the subject than I.

I have owned this car for over 15 years, and I bought it from a close friend, who owned it for over 20 years. My original plan was to have the car restored. I had no intentions of selling it. I am not a car collector; instead I bought the car simply because I liked it and my friend could not keep it any longer. My plans have now changed.

The car is in fair to good condition. It is complete. It is in its original condition with no modifications. There was a partial “restoration” done in the early 1980’s that included some body work and a respray in the original color. All numbers match. It runs and shifts well. It does have some rust. It is a European spec car with the sunroof. The car just turned over 100K kilometers. I have driven the car roughly 1K km since I bought it. I have attached a few pictures; more pictures and videos are available. The car is located about 2 hours from Washington DC.

If you could provide your thoughts, ideas, contacts, valuation resources, I would appreciate any help. If you are in a position to provide more assistance and would like to discuss the car, send an email to rminvest@aol.com and include your full name, telephone number, address. I would be glad to speak with you.

    Thanks, Rob

Very pretty car. I can be of no help on value or selling. Others can & will chime in. Holiday weekend might be a little slow for many responses. Is that crystal blue ? ......cliff

the things that are going to make the car above average in value are 1. sunroof 2. rear wiper 3. if crystal blue rare color 4. white interior 5.Euro spec 6. outside temp gauge. What is the paint code on the post holding the door hinges? Nice 911S! Look up the car on Hagerty.com for a ball park value. good luck. Chris

Very cool car, just enough wear to be regularly driven.

$275,000 perfectly restored, minus the perceived cost of restoration.

    ‘Perceived’ being the key word.

if everything is correct including the paint color, i think you could see $125-150k if it is running and driving.

    Interesting specs bring interesting money.

That car as it sits without all the pictures of the underside, aforementioned rust, Kardex research/numbers match, etc is easily low 100s.

You need to ask yourself why you are asking us what it is worth.

Put it on Bring A Trailer, thoughtfully and thoroughly documented and photographed to determine what a broader market thinks.

Or keep up this silent auction approach and someone will crawl out (if they haven't already) and offer you something you can live with.

Potential price when done - restoration cost - risk premium = current value

Market seems to be in the low to high 200's for very nice examples depending on the time of day and "people in the room" I think you would struggle for anything less than 100K to make this a top car likely closer to 150K when using a known shop.

If the car is solid, e.g. there is no structural rust, somebody might decide to drive it as is so will value it at a bit of a premium. If the car is indeed a euro car it will likely have the usual rust gremlins which will need attending (front pan, lower fenders, corners rear window, etc.)

    Cool car

Thanks Cliff. I always thought it would be great restored. I was told it is “Gulf Blue”. I’m looking into getting the Kardex or COA or PPS from Porsche, since I have several requests.
