...one of the 250GTOs at festival of speed. Hundred and fifty thousand visitors attend each day yet fact owners feel comfortable leaving such things sit unattended in an open to all paddock helps keep it a special event -- a never miss event. Not sure it was even locked or roped off. As it should be of course but didn't one of the circa 36 examples sell for nearly $50 million?

    Thumbs up

Needed to take a break yesterday… I like to start, and bring up to temp, the Chevy and junky S-10 pickup about once a week… No problem with the 911 cause I drive it so often, but the other two need the therapy…

So, got some heat into the Chevy’s engine, and threw a $20 in the tank….

The gauge moved a little…I think...

    Cheers

    I had a nice second-owner 1967 Chevelle SS much like Chuck's car.

Please ignore the girl in the pink suit. She was a friend of mine's wife. It was one picture in a crowd of friend's:

The original car was in perfect condition. It had a scare on the outside trunk in a dealer delivery issue. I bought it with a L68 427 engine (the original 396 owner sent a rod into the oil pan).

Have made a few garage changes recently... sold my CSL (to the guy I bought it from 28 years ago), replaced it with a 1 owner '85 Euro M635. Also bought another W111, this time a time capsule '70 3.5 with sunroof.

Oh,Yes ...Low Grill + Sunroof....I had one of those but a "Euro"-65 "Tall Grill"...Great smooth touring cars...with class....Unfortunately (for me) now above my paygrade so I asked my brother in Sweden to look for a nice "Strich8" and he stumbled across this one (w114) a few years ago...they haven't gotten any real attention over here but starting to get some recognition ...Mine a "true" Euro-version with a manual 4-speed on the floor, Big A$$ electric Sunroof, Cloth plaid interior and Fuel-injected engine. (250CE) Sold in 1971 to a gentleman in Stockholm and driven all over the place...Not super-fast but fast enough.....and with "towing package"... ...
