It is possible that (regardless of what some of the Irish feel about the English and that the car was delivered to Ireland not "Northern Ireland") that the country code is "England" and it was "delivered" via "Porsche Cars Great Britain". Certainly that was the case for the 69S that went to Cecil Vard in Dublin in this thread http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ex-translation

In November 1954 he secured the Irish franchise for Mercedes and, after moving VW operations to the Naas Road, assembly of Mercedes cars for Irish buyers began at the Ballsbridge site. He had a collection of MB's including 1911 vintage Benz model 8/18, 1935 MB 200 two-door sports roadster, a 1936 500 K Cabriolet and a two-door 1955 300 SL Gullwing.

Yes, I was aware of that list. However, it was useful to add to the thread.
Further research on C01 indicates Europe LHD. This may also be the one code that includes "without country equipment" . One car we know that had C01 was a factory delivery, and was an ST, so had no need of any country equipment.

Country equipment would detail such things as the type of glass for windows, mirrors, headlight type, horn types, heating equipment, instruments (KM or MILES), Owners manuals & warranty/service books. So lots of detail things; many without option codes.
