Dealer Description:

This grand prix Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS was delivered to Gotfried Schultz on May 1st, 1973 in Ratingen. The vehicle history is available and the vehicle equipment and the engine of the 911/83 and the 915/08 gearbox correspond to the birth certificate.

The engine, type 911/83 and the gearbox 915/06 have been completely revised using many new parts according to the original specifications.
All other add-on parts of the vehicle such as the chassis, brakes, oil and fuel systems, electrics, rims and interior are new or revised to new condition.
The vehicle has a Recaro sports seat on the left in black synthetic leather with a Pepita seat center panel.

Further optional equipment are:
- M472 Touring equipment
- M258 headrest left / right
- M410 sports seat on the left
- M419 3 point belt with automatic left and right

This Porsche 2.7 RS in Grand Prix white / red with black leatherette was completely restored in our house.
The vehicle was formerly delivered to dealer 115 in Germany in May 1973 and the history is fully documented. In addition, extensive documents are available on the work carried out in previous years.
The vehicle corresponds to the birth certificate in all equipment details.

The engine, type 911/83 and the gearbox type 915/08 are matching numbers.
Many of the vehicle's add-on parts such as chassis, brake, oil and gasoline systems, electrics, rims and interior are new or have been revised to new condition.

Again by a process of elimination (on the options and where and when it was delivered) this could only be 911 360 1366

Interesting though as a car with that identity (and numbers visible in marketing shots) was sold via Artcurial at Le Mans classic in July 2016 in "average" condition at best where it was described as a "Touring, rallying and track car ". The French RS club also shows the owner at the time so It looks like it has been fully restored back to original for this sale

At that stage it was white / blue and had some rally type features that are not present now. The sales pitch at the time also (apparently wrongly) stated that it was delivered new in Italy and that it had been owned by a French collector since 2000

PS your heading shows it as yellow but the text correctly shows it as white / red

This car is a left-hand drive Touring model supplied new to Germany in Light Yellow with black upholstery, as it is today, and has been with our private vendor for the last 6 years. During its life, like most RS’ in their early days, it has travelled around the world ~ including several years in Hong Kong.

Back in 2007/2008 as Robert Gant was firmly establishing Gantspeed as one of the premier Porsche Specialists in the UK, he took this car to make it his “signature restoration project” and thus left no stone unturned in the 2 years plus restoration of the car which included absolutely everything. This work was all fully documented and photographed with over 500 pictures on file. The total invoices add up to in excess of £180,000 in total spend and the car has covered very few Km since then. The car was finished to such a high standard, both mechanically and cosmetically, that it was used by Gantspeed to promote their business for several years and was their car of choice in all their national advertising for many years after the work was completed.
On completion, the car was sent to Porsche GB to check for originality of all parts and a full inspection. A copy of this correspondence is in the history file.

Our vendor has used it occasionally but most of the time it sits in his bespoke luxury garage amid several other amazing 911s, being correctly stored and used only when the sun shines. Like all his cars though, it has been professionally maintained and annually serviced.

This original matching numbers car is offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and one of the most comprehensive history files we have ever seen. The eagle-eyed amongst you will spot that we did, in fact, offer this car earlier this year. However, the owner wants it gone now, so we have lowered the price guide and reserve price by £100,000 to make sure that happens.

So this is a real opportunity to acquire a very competitively priced, genuine 911 2.7 RS Carrera today.

That could be a steal with the low reserve, curious what it will go for. Engine case/number not original, could be replacement case re-stamped by the factory looking at the font.
