I have a bit of an anal Detail question.
Can anyone here confirm the date codes on the original front luggage compartment lamp lens from there 64 or 65‘ ?
Seems everything I have here is dated 66’ and onwards which Are obviously later replacements. Curious as to what the code was previous to 66’ as it often skipped a few years.

    Thank you so much.
    63‘ seems to be it.
So the natural SAE date progression was 63‘, 66‘, 69‘,70‘ and ends till today with 71‘.

    Thank you.
I have actually found one in my hoard. It was from an early 66’ I had stripped out many years ago. It still has the two part (nylon & rubber) gasket and the original longer screws with it.
Thank you for all the help.

Rubber-gasket? Shure? Didn't see that jet.

It’s definitely a die cut rubber gasket. This came out of a karmann body early 66’ 912 that sold new to Switzerland and came over here with its second owner.
I’ll take a better photo of it on Monday.
