    Question about 1970 911E coupe

    Hi guys,

I am in the process of buying a 1970 911E coupe. The CoA states that the color is Metallic Green (83) over Brown Leatherette with Corduroy Inserts (22).

Would this be correct for that car?

And what about the door panels, would these need to be Brown too? Other interior parts that would need to be brown?

    It's mostly black now..

And I also assume this is a T rev counter in stead of an E?

It looks like the car might have a 915 shifter lever. Should be a 901 dog leg shifter with a 911/01 gearbox.

from what I see, the brown seat looks correct.

all the other panels would be brown too.
door middle basketweave, rear seats, sides in rear, and top near window all in brown. carpet is a brown too. (you can get brown carpet at Lakewell)
    no brown on the dash.

the rear seats in the photo (with the red car) are the wrong year, so is the panel behind the seats and near the window, those parts are from a different year.
the dash top pad is the wrong year. I am pretty sure the headliner is wrong color.

brown is a great color, unique and one of the best, and works really well with green.

Thanks I agree, think most of the rear section should be brown.

    from you photo with arrows.
those rear panels, and seats are not correct year. the patterns, shapes and leather texture are not from 1970.
the side panels are correct, just they would be brown.

    see this link

the car in the link is mostly correct... it has been restored...so some of the small details are not correct.
the seats are too puffy, and some of the sewing is a little wrong...but in general, it is mostly correct

    Yes very true.

A good seat, "factory correct" has an unmistakeable look and feel. They are excellent. You in them, not on them.

I agree, these are good pictures to see what parts should be brown.
