    catelluseng , if the side cover pop-off is so unreliable , why was it the only spec for the later Toyota Atlantic cars and numerous Indy cars .

    Dunno. Go ask the engineers who designed those cars. I speak from my own (many years of) experience. But try it your way, and if you get good, stable, and reliable numbers, more power to you.
