This Porsche 911 2.7l Carrera RS in light green with imitation leather interior and sports seats with partial leather and pepita is one of 11 Carrera RS that were delivered in light green.
The Carrera RS was registered for the first time in Wetzlar on February 2nd, 1973 and the history is still documented today.
There are several Classic Data appraisals, as well as extensive photo documentation and a cost breakdown of the restoration.
The restoration did the vehicle justice and the highest value was placed on originality, not just in the obvious things, but consistently!
The restoration, which took place without compromise between 2017 and 2018, was accompanied and assessed by the largest specialists in the scene.
Since the restoration, the RS has been regularly serviced, has always been registered and has been driven almost 6,800km on smaller trips.
The 2.7l Carrera RS has the following special equipment:
M 410 - M440:
External heating - limited slip differential - front seat right. reinforced - driver's side sports seat - antenna on the left with loudspeaker at the front
An original sports seat with original console is currently installed on the passenger side. The factory-installed, original comfort seat for the passenger side is also newly upholstered and available.

Completely transparent except you need to dig deep to discover that the engine was made up of piece parts. I didn’t go further to check the engine components.

However at a quick glance is it another RS that appears to have got a later rear slam panel ? Got a later single inhex fan strap? While no vin so can’t be sure of date completed without checking but being non GP white delivert Feb probably made before cars other than white allowed to order side decals so is that a black side decal a later addition therefore not as an originally left factory ? Hockey puck not the horn push used in RS — if registered by beginning of feb has it lost its RS plastic horn push (if so that’s maybe understandable as few of the early RS lightweight but plastic ones survived) … Maybe nothing that major? However possibly if than be seen in seconds are there other less obvious things that fall short if the bold statement?
It might be better if vendor sales blurbs didn’t make such bold statements about originality maybe then I wouldn’t be drawn into making such questions — after all 73 RS are five decades old classic motor cars so most might be expected to have required work and restorations usually get stuff non authentic vs original. Allowances are reasonable but comments such as this invite a look at photos to see. Not sure why so many FS listings seem to do it — Shakespeare called it “hoisted with his own petard” I think ?

that ticks all the boxes for options (and there were only 2 first series cars in jade green delivered to Germany)
the original engine number would have been 6630231 and transmission 7830210
the other first series jade green car delivered to Germany was 0392 and had a sunroof and electric windows but none of the options mentioned in the sales blurb

Wonder why wasn’t registered bit earlier if only going inside Germany? I know of an RS 3xx range completed after Christmas break that made it across Chanel on transporter was prepped by importer in west London driven to Manchester several hundred miles away and was still first registered for road by the selling main dealer on same date— 2 feb 73. It was a Friday in UK. A
A licence ran out at a month end so was there an small £ incentive to get the value from the £25 annual road licence fee - aka “tax disc” - even for well heeled Porsche drivers on £7000 car? Maybe same small incentive to wait until early in month to register new car in Germany? Probably done ahead of customer collection on Saturday.
No rear vent window sticker ? Yellow not black rear engine mount washers? Yellow
Bilsteins? Wing not knurled on electric cover?
Unusual colour so here is the paint tag compared to the one on the rhd jade green first series one I know of that sold at Bonhams Goodwood revival auction sept — a few pages/posts back
The rhd probably original plate but the new paint applied without removing it … hmm?

Birth certificate May 73 can't be right with such a low VIN number. Alu chassis plate is not original, should read KG.
