For $299,000 I would have at least expected a forward mounted oil sump and external fill.

    Vehicle Description
We are proud to present our fully restored 1967 Porsche 911 R Tribute. This is the lightest, purest and most valuable 911 of all time. Porsche factory built only 4 prototypes and 20 production 911R models which makes this Tribute an extremely rare piece of Porsche history. Original 911R are currently bringing upwards of $1.2MM. This homage to the rare 911R began with an original 911 in Light Ivory with a rust-free chassis. With show quality paint and a highly detailed under carriage, our signature lightweight Porsche weighs in at 1,850 pounds with a combined 2 liter twin plug engine at over 200 horsepower. Gaswerks Garage's immense effort and labor engineered a skillful product to recreate the Porsche as close to the factory 911R as possible. Its rich, luxurious 911 aesthetics are preserved in this restoration, as well as its renowned air-cooled mechanics and engineering. More importantly, our 911R homage creates an exhilarating, unique experience for an overall effect of a taut and feel-some drivers car. 369 miles shown

For us not in the know, can you explain why this car is so far from the original and is a joke? I’m just curious because I don’t know. Thanks, Mark

PS I think it’s funny that the few pics they posted show the engine blowing smoke. Dumb!

It looks like it is probably a nice car, but as noted it is not even a completely accurate recreation of a 911r as they had their oil tanks in front of the rear wheel with an external filler. That being said, the hyperbolic language is what I, and I think others, find amusing. This is an imperfect copy of a 911r that the seller is saying should be considered akin to a 911r in rarity and importance. That’s like saying a mediocre copy of the Mona Lisa should be valued like an original by Leonardo da Vinci.
