Thread: 3 pin CDI box rebuild problem

  1. #21
I just got 2 units back from Bob. Both are working perfectly. Great service, communication and fast. As an aside I see that coils are nearly non existent. Does anyone know of a source or a replacement?

  2. #22
Bought 6 CDI boxes and coils from parts classic several years ago none of them work any more, most failed early on in fact. No customer service, no help, all my fault or the rest of the cars ignition system.

2 of the CDI boxes had bits rattling around inside... They suck! Have done my best to discourage anyone from buying anything from them.

Will Ashlock repair PK boxes? That might be a solution for some.

I doubt he would because John stands behind his work, I would not trust the electrical design of the box.

He will repair boxes with electronics of his making for modestly more money. I am running one without any issues so far. Check his website
