I haven't seen too many photos round here of all the 911s that rallied in Ireland in the 1970s. So I was doing a bit of a tidy up in my study and I found some old programmes from the Circuit of Ireland Rally from that period.
Please excuse the pic quality, as these a photos taken from the rather poor quality print of the programmes
Enjoy

A few more. There were 2 similar 911T's entered, one for Pauli Toivonen and another for Leo Kinnunnen.

Great photos of two special cars!
I believe that BYK 90, the Leo Kinnunen/Martti Kolari Porsche 911T, car #39, was a T/R Chassis # 118 2 0455, run at that stage by the AAW team.
It was a sister car to SC 9166 , the 1968 Monte Carlo winning car for Elford, and the other car shown here at the 1968 1000 Lakes Rally. SC 9166 was car #46, for Pauli Toivonen/Martti Tiukkanen, and was a DNF after a crash on SS8.
Hutche Von Hanstein is reported as saying that BKY 90 it is a private entry and SC 9166 was the only official entry for Porsche, and it was only there because Pauli Toivonen, who was driving well for them, wanted to do his home event in a Porsche.
118 2 0455 (BYK 90) was also the 2nd placed car in the 1968 Monte with Pauli Toivonen – Martti Tiukkanen as car #116, still on the Zoll plates 428 Z 2097.

Hi Hugh - vidcaps from the excellent 1000 Lakes video on YouTube. Here's an edited version I did with just the Porsche footage:

The 2010 Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will take place January 28th to February 3rd with a strong field of 340 cars and many star drivers and teams.
The winter historic rally organised by the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) looks set for another successful year and appears not to have been affected by the credit crunch, with 380 applications received by the ACM. To reward race fans for their commitment, the ACM has decided to accept 340 applications rather than the 320 initially envisaged. The fortunate will, therefore, be receiving a letter in the next few days informing them that they have been enrolled into the 13th Monte Carlo Historic Rally.
Big names line up for “the Monte”
This year, as ever, drivers who have contributed to the history and renown of the World Rally Championship will once again take the stage for the Monte Carlo Historic Rally. Here are some of the biggest names:
– Bjorn Waldegard, famous Swedish driver, winner of the 1969 and 1970 Monte Carlo Rallies (RAMC) in a Porsche 911. Winner of 16 WRC rallies, named 1st ever WRC world champion rally driver in 1979, the first official year of the title.
– Jean Vinatier, whose name is closely linked to the Etretat-based Alpine brand, with which he won the French championship in 1969, in addition to victory in the 1964 Tour de Corse, and 3rd place in the 1969 RAMC. His lifelong co-pilot Jean-François Jacob will be in the seat beside him.

Curt there was also a sand beige (as best i can tell given the film technology of the time) car as well. Guessing you have that footage from the Legends of Motorsports special? If you look at the track portion they show the car briefly though they don't (as i recall) mention the driver.
Have this on DVD (saved from the DVR) and it is one of my absolute favorite videos.

All my german equipment is either busted or sold...sigh....in the market for a decent non-sunroof tub!!!!!!! Help me get back to autocrossing!!!
Hey Erik, these are the full vids on YouTube. Looks like there was a 3rd 911 and it finished ahead of the other two. One of the 911's crashed out and the other one had a "driveshaft" failure.
