You don't mean this old thing do you Jens ?
With all her re-sale red and flaws ?
The kind of a car only its owner loves to death ?
- Today brought her to work to change the wheels (no more room in my one car 4 bike 4 surfboard garage)
- Also put on a couple new stickers : The North Country Region (Second to None) and the red T ( # 901 ).
That Diamond Jubilee TT is - for the '67 race - greatest ever - Ago vs. Mike - MV vs. Honda - AND a production 1-2 for the Bultaco Metralla's.
- Speaking of which (not my Metralla) - but her brother, the Beast

John,
Never realized you own a BMW R69S. Great (and valuable) bike. I have had a few earlier Beemers. My last one was a 71 R75/5 which I took the liberty of repainting lime green. The old conservative Bavarians on the streets would turn their heads in disdain, but I loved it. Here is a pic of it in all its glory. By the way, I ended up selling it to the head of the BMW Motorcyle Boxer motor division here in Munich.
My real reason for posting though is to show off a few pic's of my ex-70T s/r coupe in Bahia red. I was feeling kind of artsy that day and decided to try to take photos like the ones they used to have in the late 70's Christophorus mags. I have had my share of early 911's, but this one I especially miss. It had a dicey 2nd gear, a measly 2,2T 125hp, various paint flaws and minor rust issues, mushy seats and ratty carpet, but it drove really well and really optimized the feel of an early 911...
Yeah Garth, got it a few years ago. Great fun.
I was actually looking for a /5 when I found it and couldn't resist.
Love the lime green !
And the lowly 2.2T ? That is a sweet engine about town, and throw in a Solex cam for spice.
Love mine.
I remember a park in Pasing full of big dandelions that would have been a great setting for a red car.
